Atmosphere is a large part of the popularity of the Woody Creek Tavern restaurant and bar. The walls talk about regular people, local politics and famous locals all intermingled together within a eclectic array of art. One visit could find you rubbing elbows with your favorite hero, witnessing an event that's printed in tomorrow's news or simply having a quiet dinner.
The strategic location of the Tavern makes it a favorite lunch stop for summer mountain bikers and winter hut skiers. At the large table, Steve Maznio and his group of skiers had just finished two nights at the Tenth Mountain Margy's Hut and the 7.6 mile ski out. One of their party had a tumble on the way down and was performing some ice therapy with their lunch.
