Jerome Hotel
The doorman of the Jerome Hotel braves a January snow storm to welcome guests into Aspen's Luxury Hotel. The Jerome Hotel and has been a landmark and favorite watering hole since it was built in 1889. It was painted blue by Herbet Bayer in 1946 and was popular with the 10th Mountain soldiers who would spend the weekend and enjoy a special drink called the Aspen Crud - a mix of ice cream and whiskey. After a major renovation in the 1985 the hotel is now one of Aspen's high end establishments and is currently operated by Auberge Resorts.
