Wagner Park Playground on the Mall
The Aspen Parks System encompasses 35 parks totaling over 40 acres. Wagner Park is located on the Mill Street Mall, in the center of town and fountain, defines Aspen's commitment to athletics. Encompassing almost two blocks, Wagner Park features a large playing field with rugby field goal posts, softball backstops and temporary soccer nets. Local youth and adult teams use it for practices, and others use it for Frisbee and pick-up football games and Rugby Championships every Fall. Swings and slides border the Mill Street side, as does one of the only public bathrooms in town. The tents in the background are being set up for the Food and Wine Classic.
